Why this splitter

How to use it

Drop a PDF onto the box above (or click it to pick a file). ChooseOne PDF per page to break the whole document apart — the pages download together as a zip. Or choose Custom ranges and type which pages you want, like 1-3, 7, 9-end — each range becomes its own PDF. A single range, like 2-5, simply extracts those pages into one file. Everything stays on your device from start to finish.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PDF splitter really free?

Yes. No account, no trial, no watermark on the output files, and no limit on pages or splits.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is split by code running inside your browser on your own device — you can confirm in your browser’s network inspector that nothing is sent while splitting. When you close the tab, nothing remains anywhere.

How do I write page ranges?

Separate entries with commas; each entry becomes its own PDF. An entry can be a single page ("4"), a range ("2-5"), or an open range to the last page ("9-end"). So "1-3, 7, 9-end" produces three files.

How do I extract just a few pages into one PDF?

Choose "Custom ranges" and enter a single range, like "2-5". One range in the box means one PDF out — no zip, just the pages you asked for.

Does splitting reduce quality or change my document?

No. Pages are copied into the new files exactly as they are — nothing is re-rendered, recompressed, or watermarked. Text stays selectable and images keep their original resolution.

Does it work with password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. If your file is encrypted, remove its password first (any PDF viewer that can open the file can usually re-save it without one), then split.
