Is my document or signature uploaded anywhere?
No — and for a signature that matters doubly: it is both a personal identifier and the thing that makes documents binding. Everything happens inside your browser on your own device; you can confirm in the network inspector that nothing is sent.
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
It places a visual signature — the same as printing, signing, and scanning, minus the printer. In many everyday contexts that is exactly what is asked for. It is not a certificate-based digital signature (the cryptographic kind with a verifiable identity chain); for those, the counterparty will usually name the service they require.

Draw with your mouse, trackpad, or finger; type your name and it is rendered in a script style; or upload a photo or scan of your real signature (PNG or JPG — PNG with a transparent background looks best).
Can I position the signature precisely?
Click the page preview where the middle of the signature should go — a live ghost shows exactly how it will sit. Adjust the size slider, click again to reposition, then sign.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not directly — remove the password first with the Unlock tool (also on this site, also entirely in your browser), then sign.
